Box Hedge - Buxus sempervirens

Buxus, or Box hedging has been used for 100's of years as formal edging and hedging. Its close nit structure and slow growing speed makes it ideal for path edging. 5 per metre if you are on a budget. If a quicker hedge is required, 7 plants per metre single row. For wider hedges 7 or 8 per metre in a double staggered row.

Plant Spacing:
Bare Root. When planting 15cm - 20cm plants you will need 9 plants per metre, and for the 20cm - 30cm you will need 7 per metre, and for the 30cm - 40cm plants you will need 6 per meter. 

Pot Grown / Root Balled. When planting 30cm - 40cm plants you will need 4 plants per metre, and for the 40cm - 50cm you will need 3.5 per metre, and for the 50cm - 60cm plants you will need 3 per meter.
