Sweet Bay Laurel Hedge, also known as Laurus nobilis is a dense, evergreen hedging species that offers seasonal interest with pale yellow flowers in the spring and aromatic dark green foliage which are perfect for cooking.  Because of it's compact growing habit, Laurus nobilis is perfect for formal hedges, topiary or as a single specimen.

Suitable for hedge pruning with secateurs and should be done twice a year. First in March/April and again in late September/early October.

A hard prune in March will make Laurel shoot and thicken up in the spring and is the best time to prune woody established plants.

Its best not to use hedge trimmers with large leafed plants because of the damage caused to the leaves.
