Pleached Photinia Red Robin Trees, also known as Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin', are mainly used as an evergreen hedging species yet can be trained into a tree shape to provide an excellent evergreen screen in all sizes of garden. Because of its dense habit, Photinia red robin makes the ideal choice for pleaching, great for use as a privacy screen or sound barrier to prevent unwanted noise. White flowers appear in early summer whilst some fruit may additionally appear.
The foliage of photinia turns a vibrant deep red in the spring and then bright green during the summer months. These trees will provide year-round interest with a strong architectural presence, creating an impressive backdrop for garden borders or pathways when pleached into a row formation.
