Photinia Red Robin Trees, also known as Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin', are mainly used as an evergreen hedging species that can be trained into a tree and are excellent for small to medium gardens. Because of its dense habit Photinia makes the ideal choice for a privacy screen or sound barrier. White flowers appear in early summer whilst some fruit may additionally appear. Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' will stay quite compact, the stem height will not change significantly but the head of the tree will grow larger in all directions. The tree can be pruned to the shape or height as desired.
