Espalier Lime Trees are the quintessential victorian style avenue tree. This form of pleaching is quite open, unlike Pleached Hornbeam, and is more of a decorative form. Tilia europaea ‘Pallida’ is popular for its uniformed habit, and thrives in a wide range of conditions including tolerating urban environments. Unfortunately, Lime trees do attract aphids that secrete honeydew.
