Bare Root

By far the most cost effective and environmentally friendly way to plant a new hedge, bare root hedging is normally available between November and March. Our bare root hedging plants are field grown.
When the plants enter their winter dormancy period, they are lifted, the soil is washed from the roots and the plants are prepared for dispatch. No need for plastic pots, these plants are extra-kind to the environment.

Root Ball

Root ball is a great value for money and a very environmentally friendly way to establish a hedge, our root balled hedging is all field grown on our own nursery. Root ball hedging plants are normally available between October and March depending on the weather.

Plants are allowed to grow naturally and when harvest time comes we scoop them up, with roots and soil intact. The root ball is then wrapped in biodegradable hessian to protect it. You leave the hessian on when you plant your hedge and it naturally degrades with in 6 months.
